My formal training in Lean started with demand flow technology (DFT) provided
by the World Wide Consulting Group in Denver and described in a book called
Quantum Leap.* I was then taught by a group called TBM and Shingijitsu, who
implemented Lean using a tool called “Point Kaizen events.” We implemented
